The season opener here in Perth, Australia started in complete contrast to the trend of 2016.
The team of Rasmus Køstner, Peter Popp Wibroe and Brad Farrand skipper by Nicolai Sehested went through their fleet racing group with some difficulty. Its in contrast to last year when the team proved strong in this portion of the qualifying rounds. Skipper Sehested said, “its was a tough start but last year we won all our groups, every regatta and we ended up not being where we wanted to be in the end, so lets try a different approach this time around and build on it through out the event, that would be good.”
So a different approach and tomorrow will require the guys to keep putting scores on the board to secure a spot in the super 16 stages starting Wednesday or it will be a sail off with whoever else finds themselves at the bottom. We are hoping for good things to come… Follow us here all week from the World Match Racing Tour Event Opener in Perth, Australia.
