💥No people were injured in the making of this video! 💥
Well we started day 2 here at the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club for the World Match Racing Tour with a bang, quite literally… It was a bottom leeward gate finish where the crew of Team Magenta32 and EWII Racing came a little close for comfort. Skipper Nicolai Sehested wanted room to round but even though Sally Barkow thought she’d allowed sufficient room it was all too late when a big gust dug the nose of her M32 into the Swan river rendering the rudders useless. Damage to both boats but no crew was a good outcome from a very difficult situation. The Jury now has to make a decision on what happens next but we will keep you informed as and when that happens….. Enjoy below. 👇
